Concrete Finishing in Conway, Arkansas

Concrete Conway AR

Concrete Finishing is an essential piece of a concrete job. It is therefore factored into our other services at Conway Concrete Co. Additionally, concrete finishing can be a standalone service on concrete that already exists.

Types of Concrete Finishes

There are many types of concrete finishes. A few common finishes in Conway include:

  1. Troweled Finish: The concrete is worked over with a trowel, creating a smooth surface.
  2. Broom Finish: A broom finishing is done by initially implementing a troweled finish, then using a special broom on the surface. This creates a rougher texture which results in traction, and is therefore suited for slippery areas.
  3. Salt Finish: Salt is added to the surface of wet concrete, creating a textured surface that is resistant to slippage. Salt finishes are commonly used for pool decks. We have implemented salt finishes on numerous pool decks in Conway.
  4. Exposed Aggregate Finish: An exposed aggregate finish allows you to visually see the aggregate used when the concrete was mixed. This is the only finish where this is the case because it washes away the top layer of cement. It is often used for sidewalks and porches due to its non-slip finish.
  5. Stained Concrete Finish: Stained concrete has color added to it so that it can be customized. Staining concrete can give any job a whole new look. If done properly, the color will be preserved for a years to come.
  6. Stamped Concrete Finish: Stamped concrete finishing is a popular type of decorative concrete that results in an upscale and creative look. It is created by stamping panels onto the uncured concrete to give it a custom visual. Stamped finishing can make concrete appear as a completely different material.
  7. Polished Concrete Finish: Polished finishing is a great way to add both protection and aesthetics to concrete. Floor grinders are used to polish the surface. The type of floor grinder used will depend on how coarse or fine you would prefer the finished concrete to be.
